Langkawi

On December 12th, 2008 I flew to Langkawi! I was scared that I would throw up in the plane again but my parents said, " it's only a 1 hour flight. It won't be long." I tried not to throw up and it worked! Then, I noticed that we had arrived at Langkawi! On my way out I saw Alister, a boy from school in the plane! I noticed that when I got out of the plane I was outside, not inside the building!

Then we drove to the hotel called the Hotel Villa. We were hungry so we
ate at the hotel first. The noodle I ate was hot and delicious. After, we went out driving to see the stores and restaurants we wanted to go to. I wanted to go to the Go Cart track and drive a car. At first the attendants at the track said that I was too short to drive so my dad and I went to try it out, to see if I could reach the pedals. .I was hoping I could but I was also shaking a bit. I reached them okay. Swoosh! There I go. Suddenly. Smash! I crashed into the wall. I didn't feel scared so I pushed the Go Cart back on the road. I learned to always speed up when you turn.

There wasn't m
uch to do after so we headed back to the hotel and rested for a while. I hoped there's was lots to do on our 4 day vacation. I wanted to go to the beach, so my brothers followed me. We had so much fun. We were making sandcastles but the water kept destroying them, so we dug this circle around it so the water would go into the hole. After, we walked back home, all sandy and wet. Then we drove to Pekan Kuah. Pekan Kuah is where the hospitals, the mall, the restaurants, and places where you could play. I ate at this place called Jai Island Cafe. I ate noodles, it was fantastic! There was big menu's that had western, malay, and thai food. The food there was so delicious that we went back another day.

The next day we came back to Pekan Kuah and rode the Cable Car. We had to wait so long and finally got to ride it. We rode all the way to the top of the mountain, I think we were 700m above sea level. We were so high that the wind was blowing my hair back. Then we took a break. After that we rode back to where we started. Then we ate lunch ate KFC. KFC had a ocean view and there were lots of boats but it was too hot to stay outside. Finally we drove back to the hotel and took a rest.

On the third day I went to the pool. It was pretty deep at one end but the rest of the pool was up to my neck. The pool also had a bar in it. I love those kinds of bars because you can just order in the pool instead of getting out and ordering, but I didn't want anything. I wanted to bring my baby brother Adam with me but he was still sleeping. Then I walked back to our room and got ready to go out.
We went shopping after. My mom loves the stores here because the shops are duty free, which means you don't have to pay any tax. After that we went Island hopping. The boat was going so fast I thought I was going to fall, I was hugging my mom so hard I didn't want to let go until we stopped. We hopped to this island where there were so many monkeys running around. I noticed that there were big stairs. As I kept walking it got smaller and I got more tired. There were too many stairs. Finally we made it to the end! I wanted to ride on this boat where you have to paddle like a bike and use a gear to move it. I was paddling with my dad. I even saw that two of my brothers fell out of the canoe! We headed back to the boat at 12:00. The boat took us to where the eagles were flying. The guy who was driving the boat said that there was chicken in the ocean. The eagles were big and beautiful. The guy showed us this island shaped like a person lying down. Then we hoped to another island but we didn't want to go on it so we went back to where we came from. After that we ended the day after eating dinner.

The last day. We went to the Under Water World. There were so much fishes and sharks. I even found the longest fish and the most dangerous fishes
in the world. Since the Zone was beside the Aquarium we bought a bag and looked around the place. We already checked out and we had until 9:30pm before the plane leaves. So we parked at the hotel and packed all the candy and food we bought and put it in the new bag. After, we drove back to Pekan Kuah and my mom bought some things. We noticed that it was already 8:00 so we had to drive to the airport and return the car. We had to wait a while. Finally were walking again. Even thought it was night time we still had to go in from outside. Thenwe finally flew back home to KL and took a rest.

The Movies

On Monday I planned on going to the movies with my friends. We were going to watch Madagascar 2. I invited Ameera, Nazihah, and Izzati. Last week I kept reminding every one to ask their parents if they can come with me to the movies. I hoped that everyone could come. When I knew they were asking their parents my heart beat so fast I thought it would burst. This would be the first time I went to the movies with my friends.

It started off badly. Ameera and Nazihah said their parents wouldn't let them go. I slowly walked away staring at the ground. It was disappointing. I was going to ask Izzati but I noticed that she was sick so I had to wait until I got back home. I called Izzati from home. While the phone was ringing I said to my self "Please let Izzati go to the movies with me, please!" She came back to the phone, and said "Yes, I can go. Can I come to your house and then go to Pavilion together?"

After, I told her that she could come to my house at about 11:30 and then we can go but she said that she's going to be here at 12:00 and the movie starts at 12:00 so we had to take the 3:00 show. Since we had to wait till 2:30 we decided to play Monopoly. It was fun playing with her. When my mom came back from the store she brought some food with her. I asked Izzati if she wanted to eat anything but she said that she already ate at home. At 2:30 we walked to the car and drove to the Pavilion.

There was a long lineup at the theater. I looked at the screen to see if Madagascar 2 is still selling tickets. It said it was selling fast
. I said to my self over and over again, "I hope there's still two tickets for us." When we made it to the front of the counter we ordered 2 tickets for Madagascar 2. The lady at the counter said that there's still two seats but one is at the front and one is at the back. So we couldn't watch that. We decided to watch Igor instead. We got 2 tickets in the front. The movie starts at 3:40, so we had to wait for 40 more minutes. We just walked around the place, it was boring. When it was about time to go we bought the popcorn and the drink. Then we walked up to the theater and sat in our seats, it was very close.

Izzati said that she neeeded to go to KLCC before 5:00 so we only watched Ig
or till 4:40. It was a interesting movie, I wouldv'e wanted to watch it all but I had to take Izzati to KLCC. After we drove to KLCC I had to take her to the front door because it was raining and I had to wait with her till her mother comes. Her mother didn't know where the front door of Isatan was. She said to go to the other front door so we drove there. Then she said she found the front door of Isatan, so we had to run back to Isatans front door but she wasn't there yet, so we had to wait for her. I was getting so tired of running back and forth.

Finally, her mother came through the door. I said, "Good bye" to her. then I walked back to the car and drove back home. It was a fun day and a tiring day. Next time, I hope all my friends can come and that we can see the movie we want to see.

Inventions-The Bicycle

One of the 10 most famous inventions is the bicycle. A bicycle has two wheels front and back. Attach to the wheels is a frame with a sent in the middle along the top and pedals below where the rider sits to make the bike move. There is also a handle bar over the front wheel for the rider to steer the bike. Brakes are also located on the handlebar.

The first bike was called a Celerifere and was invented in 1790. It was a
wooden scooter. In 1816 a Baron from Germany invented the first steering bicycle called a Drarsienne. It looked similar to the bicycle today except there were no pedals so you had to push with your feet.
The bicycle was invented to give as an easier way to travel besides on foot or by animal.

The wheel was an important invention to better transportation. The wheel makes transportation easier.
The bike also has a basket in front of the handlebars to put supplies in or things that are small like food. This made it easier to move things around. Motor cycles and vehicles have all been improvements that started with the bike. The world is a better place and things are easier to do because of this invention.

The bicycle can be used for exercising,
for kids to play with, and for enjoying a nice windy ride around the park.

Help the SPCA! HELP! HELP! HELP

I have a few good ideas for helping the SPCA. If anybody sees an animal that needs help then they should call the SPCA. Posters can be put up around the community explaining what the SPCA does and how it can benefit us to support it. Another idea is that we could look for people that will offer to help the SPCA and voluteer their time. People can also donate money to the SPCA so they can buy supplys for the animals like food and little fences for the animals to play in. Anyone who wants a pet or sees apet harmed should contact the SPCA.

About Me, Me & More Me!

Hi, my name is Aimi. My favorite hobby is swimming. I love to swim. That's why I titled my blog "Swimming Rules". I'm in grade 6 right now and I'm having lots of fun. I wish it wouldn't be sooooooo hard!

When I was in 5th grade I got soooo excited to get lockers, get different classes, and lots of activitys. But now that I'm here in 6th grade, I'm not liking a lot of this hard homework and having to keep moving to classes and lockers back and fourth. I got soooo tired of that at first but I got use to it.

While I was in a International School I did lots of activitys like Climbing, Vollyball, and Bahasa Malaysia and Ugama I have to do. but I had fun. When I started climbing it was really hard for me but when I practiced some more I almost got to the top but I didn't. I don't really like it a lot anyways. I started vollyball on Wensday and I had trouble doing it but after a few days I got really good at it and had lots of fun! I'm going to take it again next Trimester. I had to take Bahasa Malaysia so I took it. I had a bit fun but not much. I also had to take Ugama and I'm not having fun at all. I get soooooo tired when I take it.
